Constructed from stone, the round tower is situated on Den Point, Teignmouth, Devon, serving as the lead light for a navigation range. Its visibility covers 10.4 nautical miles. The site is accessible, but the tower is not open for visits.
Why it matters: As the front light in a navigational range, this structure marks the entrance to Teignmouth Harbour. It has been in continuous operation since 1845 under the Teignmouth Harbour Commission, demonstrating its long-term practical value for maritime traffic.
