The Stralsund Lighthouse, a square skeletal steel tower painted white, was built and first lit in 1938. Standing 21 meters tall, with its light visible at a focal height of 24 meters, it has a geographic range of 14.1 nautical miles. This structure guides vessels southbound to the Stralsund waterfront, situated between the old and new Rügen Bridges. Originally featuring a white light on an 4-second cycle, it was updated in 2014 with a three-color directional light. The front light was deactivated in 2015, with a replacement installed in 2019.
