About Sadamisaki Kō Lighthouse
This 9.5-meter white concrete post lighthouse was constructed in 1963. It rises from a single-story concrete equipment room and is situated at the end of Sadamisaki harbor's main breakwater. The light emits a single green flash every 6 seconds, visible for 11.9 nautical miles. The structure is located on the south side of a peninsula within Ehime Prefecture, approximately 5 km northeast of the cape's point. While visitors can access the site, the tower itself is closed to the public.
Why it matters: The light is essential for vessels entering or leaving Sadamisaki harbor, clearly marking the breakwater's end and aiding navigation in this active port area.
