About Pointe de Lervily Lighthouse
Built from masonry in 1955, the Pointe de Lervily light structure is a 12-meter cylindrical tower. It is situated on a point extending into Baie d'Audierne, about 3 kilometers south of Esquibien. The tower, painted white, is surmounted by a red lantern, with its light source positioned 20 meters above sea level. The illumination produces three flashes, alternating white and red, every 12 seconds, with a range of 13.2 nautical miles. Visitors can access the site, but the tower remains inaccessible.
Why it matters: This light marks the headland at the entrance to Baie d'Audierne, serving as a navigation aid for ships in the vicinity.
