The lighthouse's focal plane is 113 meters above sea level, providing a geographic range of 26.2 nautical miles. Its light emits four white flashes every 20 seconds. Restoration work was announced in January 2004 and completed in February 2005. The site was also saved from a bushfire in September 2013, with a further restoration plan announced in October 2014.
