About Myōken Saki Lighthouse
This 10-meter white concrete lighthouse was first lit in 1966. It features a cylindrical tower attached to a square, single-story equipment room, with the entire structure painted white. Situated on a rocky promontory northwest of Nakama, it stands about 13 kilometers west of the Kanmon Strait entrance. The lighthouse emits two white flashes every 12 seconds, visible for 14.5 nautical miles. The focal height of the light is 26 meters above sea level.
