About Low Head Lighthouse
Constructed in 1833, the Low Head Lighthouse features a white, round tower marked with red bands, topped by a white lantern. This structure reaches a height of 62 meters, with its light positioned at a focal height of 43 meters. The light emits three white flashes every 30 seconds, visible for 23 nautical miles. This light marks the entrance to the Tamar River. It has been operational since its construction in 1833.
