About La Cotinière Lighthouse Lighthouse
Built in 1899, the La Cotinière Lighthouse is a round, cylindrical masonry tower painted white. It stands 11 meters tall and features a lantern and gallery, both painted red. The lighthouse marks the entrance to the port of La Cotinière, located on the west side of the harbor at the elbow of the Grand Jetée. Its operational light emits a single red flash every 4 seconds. The site is open to the public, although the tower itself is closed.
