About Kergadec Lighthouse
Also known as: Kergadec (feu postérieur)
The Kergadec Lighthouse is an octagonal concrete tower built in 1950 on a hill southwest of Audierne, France. It stands 15 meters tall, with its focal height reaching 44 meters above sea level. The tower is white with a red upper quarter. The light displays a continuous red beam, intensified along a specific range line, and also features a quick-flashing white, red, or green light. The structure has a gallery but no lantern. Kergadec's predecessor, built in 1902, was destroyed by German troops in 1944.
