A white, cylindrical concrete tower, 12 meters in height, was first illuminated in 1950. The construction consists of a round tower that ascends from a square, single-story equipment shelter. Following renovations in 1972, the lighthouse was altered from a concrete post to its present cylindrical configuration. It emits a white flash every 5 seconds with a visibility range of 16.4 nautical miles. Situated at the edge of a wooded peninsula, it indicates the eastern approach to Ishinomaki Harbor.
