A cylindrical stone tower, 8 meters tall, was built in 1948 adjacent to the south side of Capbreton's wooden pier. It has a focal height of 9 meters and was painted stone color. The station was first established in 1873, predating the current structure. The light characteristic was a green flash every 6 seconds, with a geographic range of 10 nautical miles. This tower is now inactive, with the operational light moved west. The structure is a solid stone tower topped with a lantern and gallery.
