This structure stands on the westernmost point of mainland Spain, about 3 kilometers northwest of the village of Toriñan. It extends about 2.1 km further west than Cabo Finisterre.
Why it matters: The lighthouse marks the absolute westernmost point of mainland Spain, serving as a critical navigational reference for vessels rounding the Iberian Peninsula.
