Location & Light Range
About Tadri Lighthouse
The Tadri Lighthouse is a cylindrical concrete tower standing 10 meters tall, painted with horizontal black and white bands and topped by a red lantern dome. Its focal height reaches 38 meters, casting a white light with a single flash every 10 seconds. The current structure, built in 2009, replaced an earlier stone tower. The original station was established in 1891 with a light mounted on a mast. After a period of deactivation and removal from navigational lists in 2008, the light was restored and the present tower brought into operation in 2009. It has a geographic range of 16.7 nautical miles.
Why it matters: The lighthouse guides vessels entering Tadri harbor, and its re-establishment in 2009 highlights its continued significance for maritime safety in the area.
