The lighthouse is situated on a headland approximately 1 kilometer east of the Santiago de Cuba harbor entrance, on Cuba's south coast. Its focal height reaches 82 meters, providing a geographic range of nearly 23 nautical miles. The light emits a single white flash every 10 seconds. Although the tower is closed to the public, the site remains accessible.
