Established in the 1920s, this light is positioned on an island approximately 8 kilometers southeast of the Panama Canal entrance. The structure features a lantern mounted directly onto the face of a steep bluff, forgoing a traditional tower. Its active white and red light flashes with an occulting characteristic every five seconds. The focal height of the light is 47 meters, providing a geographic range of 18.2 nautical miles. The island is connected to the mainland by the Amador Causeway.
