Established in 1963, this structure marks the southern end of the Haydarpaşa breakwater, which shelters the commercial harbor on the Asiatic side of the Bosporus. The lighthouse emits a red flash every 2 seconds and has a geographic range of 11.9 nautical miles. Access to the site and tower is restricted to boat only.
