About Red Rock Lighthouse
A white cylindrical concrete tower, 13 meters tall, was built in 1912 on a rocky islet at the entrance to Parry Sound. This structure incorporates two stories of keeper's quarters and sits on a concrete foundation. The light has a geographic range of 13.2 nautical miles and emits a white flash every 7 seconds. It replaced the Mink Island Light and features a helipad built above the lantern for access. The lighthouse is managed by the Canadian Coast Guard.
