About Nine Mile Point Lighthouse
A round stone tower painted white was constructed in 1833 and first lit in the same year. The tower stands 16 meters above the water and emits a white flash every 10 seconds. It is attached to a one-story fog signal building. This light marks the northern channel of the St. Lawrence River as it connects to Lake Ontario.
