The Dalhousie Island lighthouse, established in 1886, stands as a sure skeletal tower 8 meters tall. It carries a square daymark colored black and white with a green border. The focal height of the light is 11 meters. Its white light produces a single flash every 5 seconds, visible for 10.7 nautical miles. The current structure replaced a 19-meter skeletal mast. A previous 16-meter octagonal wooden tower, built in 1905, was destroyed during a relocation attempt in February 1974. The lighthouse is situated on the north side of Dalhousie Island, which is now connected to the mainland.
