A cylindrical concrete tower, 9 meters in height, stands on the northwest point of Cabilhao Island. The structure features an external stairway that winds around the tower. While the lighthouse itself is no longer active, the site is open to the public, though the tower is closed to visitors. The nearest port to Cabilhao Island is Tubigon, located 12.2 kilometers away. A keeper's house, once damaged by fire, has been rebuilt and now serves as the Punta Baluarte Eco-Museum.
Why it matters: This lighthouse served to warn mariners of the headland at the northwest point of Cabilhao Island within the Cebu Strait.
