A white cylindrical concrete tower, standing 7 meters tall, was constructed in 2008. The focal height of the light is 11 meters above sea level. It emits a white flash every 6 seconds, visible for 10.7 nautical miles. The lighthouse is located on a low point near the Amlan River, on the western side of the narrowest passage between Negros and Cebu. The nearest port is Tandayag, 4.7 kilometers away.
