This square pyramidal wood tower stands 9 meters tall on the bank of the Rainy River in Barwick, Ontario. The lighthouse, first lit in 2003, displays a continuous white light with a focal height of 12 meters and a geographic range of 11 nautical miles. It was constructed by local volunteers in 2003, using plans provided by the Coast Guard. The structure is privately maintained and operates as an unofficial aid to navigation. While the site is open to the public, the tower itself is closed.
