The tower's focal height reaches 9 meters, providing a geographic range of 10 nautical miles. This structure is situated at the end of St. George Street on the waterfront of Annapolis Royal. The local historical association purchased the lighthouse in 2004, and it received $40,000 from the National Trust Lighthouse Matters competition in 2015, leading to its restoration in 2016. The site is open to the public, though the tower remains closed.
