Sandown is a harbor located on the south-east coast of the Isle of Wight, England. It serves as a local port, primarily handling leisure craft and small vessels. The harbor offers shelter within Sandown Bay.
Background
Sandown is a seaside resort and civil parish on the south-east coast of the Isle of Wight, England. The neighbouring resort of Shanklin and the settlement of Lake are sited just to the south of the town. Sandown has a population of 7,125 according to the 2021 Census, and the three Sandown Bay settlements form a built-up area of more than 20,000 inhabitants.
