This skeletal tower, painted white and standing 30 meters tall, marks Pulau Mega. Its focal height reaches 33 meters, providing a geographic range of 15.9 nautical miles. The light emits a white flash every 10 seconds. The lighthouse is situated on a small island west-southwest of Bengkulu, part of the Mentawai Islands chain. This area is known for significant tectonic activity, with a monitoring station established in 2008.
