This lighthouse is situated on a small island off the southern tip of Chíos. The structure is a 5-meter round white lantern atop a stone pedestal. Its focal height reaches 78 meters, and it emits a white flash every 15 seconds. The lighthouse has a geographic range of 22.4 nautical miles. The site is open to visitors, but the tower itself is closed.
Why it matters: The lighthouse warns vessels of the small Nisída Venétiko island, which is a hazard when approaching the southern tip of Chíos or navigating the Aegean Sea.
