The Lytham-St.-Anne's light is housed within an octagonal stone church tower, locally recognized as the White Church, situated on Clifton Drive South at Ansdell Road. The initial station began operations in 1848. The first lighthouse at Stanner Point succumbed to coastal erosion by 1863, and a subsequent structure also failed. The present light, emitting an occulting white signal every 6 seconds, was put in place in 1998 by the Ribble Cruising Club. This stone structure has a reach of 15.1 nautical miles.
