Karang Otilade lighthouse is a square white skeletal tower standing 12 meters tall, with its focal plane at the same height. It emits a single white flash every 12 seconds. The tower rises from a one-story equipment shelter situated on a platform supported by piles. This structure was established around 2016 to mark a submerged reef. The lighthouse is located on a reef approximately 15 kilometers north of Kwandang, and its nearest port is Anggrek, about 4 kilometers away. While the site is accessible by boat, the tower itself is closed to the public.
Why it matters: This lighthouse specifically warns ships about the Karang Otilade reef, a submerged danger in the waters north of Kwandang.
