About Gili Lebur Lighthouse
Also known as: Gili Lebur (Pulau Lebur)
Gili Lebur lighthouse, built in 1994, is a 10-meter square skeletal tower standing on a pile-supported platform. It displays yellow and black horizontal bands. The focal height is also 10 meters, and it emits a red flash every 4 seconds, visible for 10.4 nautical miles. The structure guides vessels near Benete, located 9.5 kilometers away. The site is open for visits, but the tower itself is closed to the public.
Why it matters: This lighthouse warns vessels approaching Lombok harbor of a large shoal area, a significant navigational hazard located to its south.
