It is positioned on a ridge northeast of Utoro, close to the Shiretoko National Park border. This structure, which includes a lantern and gallery, is connected to a single-story keeper's residence. In 2009, its light color was altered from green to white, and a new lens was fitted. The light's focal plane is 142 meters above sea level, with a visibility range of 28.9 nautical miles. Its characteristic is a white flash every 15 seconds.
