About Tōdai Se Lighthouse
Also known as: Tōdai Se (Lighthouse Rock)
The Tōdai Se lighthouse stands on a reef roughly 4 kilometers northeast of the Mount Hikosan promontory. Constructed of concrete, the 12-meter tower rises from a square, single-story equipment shelter. Its exterior is painted black with a single red horizontal band. The light emits one white flash every 5 seconds, visible for over 11 nautical miles. The site is open to visitors, but the tower itself is closed. This navigational aid is located about 10.4 kilometers from the nearest port, Kashikojima.
