About Sunduki Lighthouse
A square skeletal tower painted black, Sunduki Lighthouse stands 28 meters tall. It is situated on the northeastern point of Kil'din Island in the Barents Sea. The lighthouse was established to assist mariners navigating the challenging northern waters and warning them of the island's coastline. The site is open to the public, but the tower is closed.
Why it matters: This lighthouse alerted vessels to the hazards of Kil'din Island's northeastern tip and served as an aid for maritime traffic in this remote region.
