Shànwěi Gǎng is a 10-meter round cylindrical concrete tower with a black exterior and a single red horizontal band. It stands 10 meters above sea level. The lighthouse emits a white flash every 6 seconds. It is located 15 kilometers from Huizhou. Access to this offshore location is only possible by boat. The lighthouse site is open to visitors, but the tower itself is closed.
Why it matters: This lighthouse marks the entrance to Shànwěi, a critical shipping lane, and warns vessels approaching Huizhou.
