This structure is situated on a detached breakwater at the western entrance of the Seki River in Joetsu, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. It shows a red flash each three seconds, with a range of 11.6 nautical miles. Access is limited to maritime approaches.
Why it matters: The Seki Kawa light marks the entrance to the Seki River, providing a reference point for ships approaching or leaving the Naoetsu port area.
