About Sea of Okhotsk Lighthouses Lighthouse
The lighthouse on Cape Mary was established in 1933 with an initial light on a pyramidal wood tower. The current structure, an octagonal stone tower with a lantern and gallery atop a square stone base, was built in 1961. Standing 18 meters tall, its white stone tower is topped with a red lantern. It emits a single white flash every 6 seconds. The site is accessible to visitors, though the tower itself remains closed. This station is located on the northeastern tip of Sakhalin Island.
