Constructed in 1895, the Sea Hill Lighthouse is a cylindrical iron tower standing 13 meters tall, with its focal height reaching 33 meters. It exhibits a white light with one flash every 6 seconds, visible for 15.9 nautical miles. The tower's exterior is painted white and red. Originally serving as part of a pilot station that closed in 1963, the lighthouse was later reported deactivated in 2006 and demolished in 2009, though it has since been granted State Heritage status. It is situated on a promontory at the northwestern point of Curtis Island, marking the eastern side of the entrance to Keppel Bay.

Background
Sea Hill Light was a lighthouse which was located on the northwest point of Curtis Island, Queensland, Australia. Its purpose was to mark the east side of the entrance to Keppel Bay, on passage to Fitzroy River and Port Alma. The first lighthouse at the locations, also known as Little Sea Hill Light, was constructed in 1873 or 1876, moved in the 1920s, and is now on display at the Gladstone Maritime Museum. A second lighthouse was constructed in the 1920s, deactivated in 2006 and demolished in early 2009.
