About Satpati Entrance North Lighthouse
The Satpati Entrance North lighthouse is a 9-meter tall, cylindrical concrete tower. Situated on the north side of an estuary entrance near Boisar, it stands about 2 km northwest of a newer lighthouse. Originally operational, this structure now serves solely as a daybeacon. Access to the site, which is open to visitors, is only possible by boat, with the tower itself remaining closed to the public. Its nearest port is Dahanu, located 14.7 km away.
Why it matters: This daybeacon helps define the northern boundary of the estuary entrance, offering a visual reference for local boat traffic navigating the waterway.
