The Sashima Lighthouse is a white, masonry mast structure standing 39 meters tall. Its focal plane is 13 meters above sea level, casting a green light that flashes once every 3 seconds. The light is visible for 11.3 nautical miles and is operational. Built of masonry, the tower is 39 meters high. The lighthouse is visible from 158° to 300°. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself is closed.
Why it matters: This lighthouse marks the entrance to a busy shipping lane and warns vessels about the Naka Se, a navigational hazard.
