About Puerto Del Mariel Lighthouse
The Puerto Del Mariel lighthouse, operational since 1902, stands on the west side of the harbor entrance, approximately 40 kilometers west of Havana. This square framework tower, constructed of concrete, reaches a height of 31 meters. Its focal plane is situated at 41 meters above sea level. The lighthouse emits a quick white flash every 12 seconds, with a geographic range of 10 nautical miles. An AIS system is also associated with this navigational aid.
