About Pirarema Lighthouse
This white, octagonal masonry tower stands 55 meters tall and was built in 2020. It emits a white flash on a 6-second cycle. The lighthouse is situated on a promontory approximately 12 kilometers north of Alcântara, positioned across the Baía de São Marcos from São Luís. Its focal plane is also 55 meters above sea level, providing a geographic range of 20 nautical miles.
