A square steel skeletal tower, painted white and standing 14 meters tall, houses the light on Narcondam Island. It was constructed and first illuminated in 1983. The tower features a gallery and an enclosed equipment shelter at its base. From a focal height of 61 meters, it emits three white flashes every 20 seconds. The lighthouse's geographic range is 8 nautical miles. The structure is located on an uninhabited volcanic island in the Andaman Sea.
