About Muroran Kō Breakwater Southwest Head Lighthouse
This white, round concrete tower stands 36 meters tall and houses a light with a focal plane of 13 meters. The structure, which has a lantern and gallery, is described as hourglass-shaped. Its light emits a green flash with a 3-second on and 3-second off cycle, visible for 5 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated at the end of a breakwater, marking the southwestern entrance to Muroran. It is operational and located in southern Hokkaidō.
