Mugi Kō lighthouse, built in 1993, guides vessels entering the Mugu harbor in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. This white concrete cylindrical tower stands 7.5 meters tall, with its light positioned 48 meters above sea level. The lighthouse is situated on a promontory at the eastern entrance to the harbor. Its light emits a continuous white beam, visible for 18.4 nautical miles. The structure features a square window through which the light is shown, a departure from traditional lantern rooms. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
