About Mucuripe Lighthouse
The Mucuripe Lighthouse, built in 1958, features a distinctive round masonry tower standing 23 meters tall. It is painted with alternating black and white horizontal bands. The tower, which exhibits a wider top than base, is topped with a lantern and gallery, and is connected to an equipment building. This light displays two white flashes every 10 seconds from a focal height of 85 meters. The lighthouse has been inactive since 2017.
