This hexagonal fiberglass tower, built in 1937, stands 20 meters above sea level. Originally painted orange with a white band, its current coloration is white. The light emits a single white flash every 15 seconds. This navigational aid has a geographic range of 14 nautical miles. It is situated on the mainland at the tip of a peninsula.
Why it matters: This light guides vessels through a narrow passage between the mainland and Isla Coche.
