About Loreto Lighthouse
A cylindrical concrete tower, painted white and standing 22 meters tall, marks the entrance to the marina at Loreto, Baja California Sur. First lit in 1912, the current structure replaced an earlier 12-meter skeletal tower. The lighthouse emits a white flash every 10 seconds, visible for 14.3 nautical miles. Its gallery encircles the tower, which has a focal height of 25 meters. The site is accessible to the public, offering views of the marina and the Sea of Cortez, though the tower itself remains closed.
