About Le Pignon Lighthouse
Le Pignon lighthouse is a red, cylindrical stone tower standing 14 meters tall. It is situated on a reef marking the eastern side of the entrance to the Rivière de Penerf estuary. The focal height of the light is 6 meters, providing a geographic range of 8.9 nautical miles. The light emits three white and red flashes every 12 seconds. While the site is accessible by boat, the tower itself is closed to the public.
