It is located at Drejensodde, on the north side of the Kolding Fjord entrance, guiding ships toward Kolding harbor. The light emits a white, red, or green signal on a 5-second cycle, providing directional guidance. The focal height of the light is also 4 meters, with a geographic range of 7.9 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated about 6 km east of Kolding, marking the western side of the Lille Bælt.
Why it matters: This lighthouse guides vessels approaching Kolding harbor through the west side of the Lille Bælt and into Kolding Fjord. Its unique color-changing light offers specific directional cues for safe navigation into the port.
