This lighthouse is a white, cylindrical concrete tower with a lantern and gallery, standing 19 meters tall. Its light is positioned 18 meters above sea level. The structure is located at the east end of an attached section of Kōbe Breakwater Six, which projects eastward from Ohashi island. This breakwater section is detached and directed southeastward, running parallel to the entrance channel.
Why it matters: The lighthouse marks the east end of a critical breakwater section and guides vessels through the harbor entrance channel, opposite the Breakwater Seven Southwest End lighthouse.
