Inner Harbor South Breakwater Lighthouse
Location & Light Range
About Inner Harbor South Breakwater Lighthouse
This cylindrical concrete tower, standing 16 meters tall, once guided ships into Busan's inner harbor. Originally painted green, it was later repainted white. The lighthouse featured a lantern and gallery and emitted an isophase yellow light. Its geographic range extended to 11 nautical miles. The structure was removed in 2020, after having been relocated to a pier of the North Harbor Bridge when its original breakwater was dismantled.
Why it matters: This lighthouse served as a navigational aid for Busan's inner harbor, assisting vessels with entry and exit.
